[Let's Do] HerbalBrews: It's Tea Time!

HerbalBrews is a mod that adds new plants, along with the possibility of brewing tea, coffee, and potions, to the game. You will be able to take advantage of such plants as hibiscus, coffee plants, lavender, and exotic variations of tea plants. Besides, this mod will allow you to make tea, coffee, and potions that will give various effects.

You will also need to download an API for the mod — otherwise, it will simply not launch.

Tea and Coffee

The mod adds four kinds of tea leaves: black tea, oolong tea, green tea, and mixed tea. All of them can be collected by shears and used to make different types of tea. Besides, you will be able to brew tea and coffee from lavender, hibiscus, coffee beans, holly, and rooibos. From all this, you will be able to get green tea, black tea, hibiscus tea, lavender tea, yerba mate, rooibos, oolong, coffee, and coffee with milk. Each of them gives a unique effect. Thus, black tea gives the Revitalizing effect, which imposes Regeneration on all players within ten blocks. You will be able to make tea and coffee in kettles, which come in two types: iron and copper. Besides, you will need a new stove. The mod also features a tea leaf crate and a cup. The cup does not have any functionality yet, but it has a lot of damage. The latter does not have any functions yet but does a lot of damage.

To make tea or coffee, you will need one of the kettles, a stove, water, and ingredients. Take, for example, black tea. You will need water and black tea leaves. Put the kettle on the stove, add the ingredients to it, and wait until the tea is brewed.

Potions and Effects

The mod also adds potions that give various effects. To brew a potion, you will need a cauldron, a bottle, water, and ingredients. Take, for example, the damage flask. You will need water, redstone dust, a bottle, and a lavender blossom. Take all the ingredients, add them to the cauldron, and wait for the potion to be ready.

The mod features three new potions: the damage flask, armor flask, and feral flask. Each of them gives a particular effect. The damage flask increases damage for five or ten minutes. The armor flask increases protection for five or ten minutes. In turn, the feral flask increases both damage and protection for five or ten minutes.

Let us take a closer look at the effects of tea and coffee. Green tea gives the Absorption effect for 45 seconds. Hibiscus tea is similar to the feral flask, but its effect lasts just a minute and a half. Lavender tea imposes the Luck effect for 45 seconds. Mate poisons players within a four-block radius for 45 seconds. Rooibos increases the overall speed and mining speed for 45 seconds. Regular coffee gives the Resistance effect for 45 seconds. Coffee with milk imposes the same effect for a minute and a half.

Crafting Recipes

Let us now turn to the tea and coffee recipes. To make green tea, you will need water and green tea leaves. For black tea, you will need water, black tea leaves, and sugar. To brew hibiscus tea, you will need hibiscus, water, and sugar. To make lavender tea, you will need a lavender blossom, water, and sugar. For the yerba mate, you will need a holly leaf, water, and sugar. Rooibos requires a rooibos leaf and water. Finally, to make coffee with milk, you will need to mix coffee with milk.

The potion recipes are as follows. The damage flask requires water, redstone dust, a bottle, and a lavender blossom. For the larger variant thereof, you will need a damage flask, a lavender blossom, redstone dust, and a bottle. To brew the armor flask, you will need water, hibiscus, a glistering melon slice, and a bottle. The larger variant requires an armor flask instead of water. To make the feral flask, you will need a damage flask, an armor flask, a glistering melon slice, and a bottle. The larger version of it requires a feral flask, redstone dust, a glistering melon slice, and a bottle.
