Galosphere

It is one of the few really eye-pleasing mods focused on changing the generation of the familiar caves. With its help, you will see there new ores, veins, crystals, mushrooms, and even several small cute inhabitants that will not even try to kill you.

Mobs and Vegetation

The mod adds three (or, strictly speaking, two) new mobs to the game: the sparkle, spectre, and spectrepillar.

The sparkle is a small lizard resembling the axolotl with antennae. It spawns on the lumiere and allurite blocks and emits small particles of light. This mob is purely decorative. It does not live in water and cannot be moved with a bucket like the axolotl. However, if you wish to tame this creature, you can put it on a lead.

The spectre is a tiny firefly. It appears in lichen caves, flies smartly, and pollinates lichens. It is untameable, but you can catch it in a bottle and keep it. A spectre in a bottle is used for crafting the chandelier and spectre flare.

The spectrepillar is not a mob proper but rather a growth stage of the spectre, but the mod features a separate spawn egg for it in creative mode. To get the spectrepillar, you need to find two spectres somewhere and feed them with a lichen shelf. It will not appear immediately, though — at first, the spectres look for a suitable place, circle over it for a long time (longer than vanilla mobs), and only after that you will see the new creature there.

You can find a caterpillar among lichen moss by the characteristic glow of the moss near it.

Besides, you can find four new plants in the deep caves.

The first is called the glow ink clumps. It appears on the walls and is, in fact, a slightly modified original lichen.

The second is the bowl lichen. When it is small, it looks like an ordinary mushroom with a modified texture. The large one looks like a large mushroom with a pit in the center. In natural conditions, it sometimes gathers water. You can grow the large bowl lichen with the help of the bone meal.

The lichen shelves form on the horizontal surfaces of the lichen moss blocks. The lichen roots are just decorative blocks found in caves and on bowl lichens.

The large bowl lichen sometimes drops lichen cordyceps. It is quite a useless food, filling two hunger and one satiation points. And even cooking, namely the transformation of the cordyceps into the golden lichen cordyceps, will not help.

Items

As we have already noticed, you can catch a spectre in a bottle. Two items are crafted from this ingredient: the spectre flare and chandelier.

The chandelier is a stylish light source that can stand or hang on the ceiling. It requires copper ingots, which makes the latter not more valuable, given that copper is practically not used anywhere.

The spectre flare is ordinary fireworks emitting white particles. It can be used for elytra flights.

The mod adds another type of firework — the glow flare. When activated, it emits green and blue particles and utilizes another quite useful vanilla item, namely the glow ink sac.

The mod also adds the barometer, monstrometer, warped anchor, and original silver lattice.

As for the new weapons, you will be able to take advantage of the silver bomb, which can be used over long distances and inflicts quite decent indirect damage.

Besides, if you wish, you will be able to craft the new armor. To do this, you will need a complete set of leather armor and silver ingots, which you will need to combine in the smithing table. This armor is just one point better than the leather one in terms of protection. However, the silver ore is quite a widespread block, so at the initial stages, when the iron is not yet available, it is an option — provided, of course, you have the smithing table.

Ores and Blocks

The mod adds the silver ore in the form of blocks, deposits, and, of course, ingots. The raw ore can be smelted in the furnace or blast furnace, like other ores. The ingots are used for crafting some new items, armor, or additional building blocks.

Further, the mod features two new blocks, allurite and lumiere. They can be either ordinary or luminous and resemble the vanilla amethyst. You can use their clusters for decorative purposes or create special lanterns from them. The vanilla amethyst has been updated as well.

The main innovation of this mod is the possibility of crafting other blocks from the amethyst, lumiere, and allurite blocks in the crafting table or using the stonecutter. These blocks are indeed eye-pleasing, and the vanilla Minecraft gained very much with the possibility of using them in construction.
