There are plenty of different types of food in the vanilla version of Minecraft, but there aren’t many ready-to-eat dishes, and if we are talking about restoring hunger or some positive effects, we should mention the Fruit Jar mod, which adds fruit jams. We are sure, you’ve never seen anything like this before, although you’ve definitely interacted with all the ingredients used for crafting. If you want to expand the dish list in Minecraft, be sure to install this mod. Not only it contains pleasant and cool effects, but also nice animation, elaboration of the textures of each jar, which makes the mod even more interesting.

The Fruit Jar mod adds a few fruit jams made from berries and different types of resources that allow you to get new tastes, sensations, and effects in Minecraft. According to the developer of Fruit Jar, this mode will «always keep your little tummy full». You can use each jam 4 times, and if you take several of these jars on a hike or important missions, you can quickly restore hunger and get additional effects that you’ll definitely find useful in combat and other stressful situations.

The Fruit Jar mod review

In total, the Fruit Jar mod adds 5 new types of jam, and an additional empty jar. Its volume is many times larger than the one of the standard bottle available in the vanilla version of Minecraft, and you can even see this in the preview when interacting with these items. Below, you can see the crafting recipes for all jams available in the game after installing the Fruit Jar mod. The crafting isn’t expensive, and the players have almost all the necessary elements. As a result, the following consistencies will be available to you:

· A jar of sweet berries – you get the «Speed IV», which allows you to move around the game world much faster. It works for a few seconds, but no one will stop you from eating the jam all the time to have this effect;

· A jar of Horus fruit – after consumption, the player teleports to a random place, no matter what game world or dimension he is in at the moment. The jam has a certain «cooldown time» for use;

· A jar of glowing berries – glowing berries will highlight mobs around you, both hostile and neutral. Thid jam helps you get a kind of X-Ray for mobs in Minecraft;

· A jar of mucus– you get the «Nausea» and the «Jumping» effects. These features allow the player to jump much higher, and if you try to complete some kind «parkour», this effect will come in very handy;

· A jar of honeycombs – after using it, you get the «Damage-free falling II» effect. You can jump with the effect you’ve got after a jar of slime, for example, without worrying about dying, since you won’t take damage from it for a certain time;

· A jar of cake – the «Speed IV» effect. Another jam variety in Minecraft, which gives you a speed effect. As you can see, you’ve got two options of food «supplements» that allow you to move faster around the game.

All items are available for crafting by default, but if you have access to the creative mode, you can install the JEI mod and take any number of jars quickly. Unfortunately, you can’t stack them, so each jar will take 1 inventory slot. In this case, you can install additional mods for backpacks to expand the game opportunities and carry more items, no matter what dimension you are in at the moment.

In addition to the basic effects that you get after eating it, the player restores the standard saturation characteristics, so jams in Minecraft will serve not only as a means of satisfying hunger, but also as additional bonus sources. At the same time, crafting jams is extremely easy. The developer of the Fruit Jar mod keeps working on his project and adds different recipes. However, at the time of writing this review, a version for Minecraft 1.19.2 was available, so you can download the mod for this assembly only.

In general, you can see that this add-on offers a lot of opportunities, with all the jars looking really cool here. It’s a sheer pleasure to interact with such items. To craft a jar, you’ll need a button surrounded by 5 blocks of glass. All this allows you to get one empty jam jar. In the future, you can use it for subsequent recipes. In general, it looks cool.
