Emerald Mod: Various Applications of Emeralds
Thanks to a mod called Emerald, you will be able to craft armor, tools, swords, as well as blocks and potions from the emerald.
The emerald armor is stronger than the diamond one. When you put on its full set, three effects will be imposed on you: Speed, Jump Boost II, and Resistance. They will be active until the set is removed. The armor itself is crafted from 24 emeralds.
The mod adds four weapon types. Emerald katana has a damage level of 11 and is created from the emerald sword and an emerald. The emerald sword has damage 7.5. The emerald khopesh is crafted from two emeralds and the sword and has a damage level of 12. The most powerful sword is the big emerald sword, which has a damage of 14. However, these characteristics can be improved through enchantment.
Besides the swords, there is also the emerald bow, which has the Flaming Arrow enchantment by default. It is not indicated, though.
You can also craft emerald tools — the pickaxe, shovel, axe, and hoe. There are also two extra items: the emerald flint and steel, which produces a green flame, and the emerald staff, which can cast fireballs and break several blocks at once.
With the help of the emeralds, you can craft the emerald apple and the emerald cake. When you eat such an apple, you will get the Regeneration III effect for 30 seconds. As for the cake, it is more nourishing than the usual one.
The mod also adds new blocks. The emerald TNT is almost identical to the usual one, but its explosion radius is much larger. Besides, you will need the emerald flint and steel to light it up. The emerald furnace smelts faster than the ordinary one. There are also the emerald slabs, steps, beacon, fence, torch, lantern, and obsidian.
You will have to use a portal to the emerald dimension, which can be built with the help of the emerald obsidian and the emerald flint and steel. There are more emeralds in the local caves, and they are easier to find there than in the ordinary world. The entire new dimension is covered with forest. There are no other biomes or mountains.
You can find two interesting animals there: the emerald wolf, which can be tamed with the help of the emerald bone, and the emerald cow. The latter can drop the emerald rod, but the chance is very small. This rod is necessary for making the emerald potion.
The emerald potion imposes several effects at once for ten minutes. They include Strength, Invisibility, Speed, Water Breathing, and others. There will be one negative effect among them, namely Nausea II. You will feel pretty woozy, but only for a few minutes.
