Butcher's Delight

It is quite a creepy add-on to the Farmer's Delight mod that implements realistic ways of processing meat and skins on special devices.

After killing mobs, you will now not obtain familiar parts thereof. Instead, you will get a whole dead animal for subsequent cutting up or cooking on a campfire.

Items

The mod adds the following butchery items to the game:

Cleaver. It is a butcher's tool with which you will have to dress carcasses. A knife from the Farmer's Delight mod is also suitable for that purpose.

Meat Hook. It is attached to the ceiling and serves to hook animal carcasses.

Skin and Fur Processing Rack. When processing skins on this rack, you get more vanilla skin than usual.

Roaster. It is a special device placed over a burning campfire. You can hang a raw carcass on it and just fry it, getting a certain amount of fried meat.

Mechanics

The main mechanic that the mod brings is butchering animal carcasses. Thus, all of them, except for chickens, can be hung on the hooks and dismembered.

To process the chicken, it will be enough to place it on any flat surface. Besides the vanilla feathers and chicken carcasses, they drop nothing.

After processing, hooked cows give you the skin, several types of meat (fat, shoulder blade, ribs, etc.), and skull, which can be used for decoration.

Sheep give you different parts and wool — not as the vanilla block but in the form of fur.

Hooked pigs give you only meat.

As mentioned above, skins and fur can be processed on the rack to get leather or wool, respectively.

Food

Given that the modder has so meticulously recreated the butchering process, it is not surprising that you will also be able to take advantage of the new meat food.

Of course, you will be able to fry all the meat to get quite a satiating meal. Besides, you will be able to cook a full-fledged meat dish, which can be considered imbalanced, as it fills your entire hunger and saturation bars at once.
