Beavery

What do you think about beavers? If you consider them to be small-minded animals capable only of building dams, the designer of a mod called Beavery is ready to change your opinion. This mod adds a full-fledged new biome to the Minecraft game world, which completely belongs to a new race of creatures — beavers. They are indeed intelligent since they wear hats and overalls, live in cozy huts, and even know how to trade.

Biome

The new biome consists of new red pines. They can boast a very realistic bark texture and an eye-pleasing deep red color of the wood. Otherwise, the biome looks quite empty — you will see just blocks of grass, slightly diluted with blocks of mossy cobblestone and rare vanilla vegetation.

From the new wood, you will be able to craft new building blocks: gates, steps, doors, planks, and other standard variants.

Beaver Houses

You will rarely come across small crude houses made of the new wood in the red pine biome. They are usually not that furnished inside, and there is one simple explanation for this — these are not peasant houses but shelters for the new mobs, i.e., beavers.

Mobs

The mod adds two new mob types that inhabit the new biome to the game. And both of them are beavers.

The first is wild beavers. They are not particularly remarkable ordinary neutral mobs. They can be quite often seen wandering about the new biome. They have quite a low health level and drop nothing at all.

The second mob type is beaver villagers, which are quite rare mobs that spawn together with their houses. They are notable for their stylish suit. They also drop nothing, but you can well trade with them.

By clicking on such a farmer and inviting it to dialogue, you will see a special trade GUI, where you can get a very cool axe for five stacks of different wood.

The new axe is quite massive and heavy, which gives it a 0.6 attack speed debuff. Even so, in terms of the speed of tree cutting speed, it can compete even with the enchanted netherite axe. By the way, all the vanilla enchantments can be well imposed on it, which practically makes this axe an imbalanced means of high-speed logging.
